sesame street in communities

Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC) offers Resources and Support for children and families, military families, professionals, and community members. SSIC provides bilingual, multimedia tools to help kids and families enrich and expand their knowledge during the early years of birth through six, a critical window for brain development.

SSIC resources engage kids and adults in everyday moments and daily routines—from teaching early math and literacy concepts, to encouraging families to eat nutritious foods, to helping with serious topics such as divorce and food insecurity at no cost to families.

Through a generous grant from the Dogwood Health Trust and Raising Resilience WNC, RAPC is hosting SSIC family events that will bring Sesame Street characters and additional resources to local Region A communities during 2022-2024.
